Westlake Chemical Corporation (NYSE:WLK)’s board of directors announced a regular quarterly dividend of 18.75 cents a share. The board also announced a special dividend of $3.75 a share. Both dividends will be paid on December 12, 2012, to stockholders of record on November 26, 2012.

While the regular three months dividend and the special dividend will require the payment of around $12.5M and $250M, respectively. The payments will be gave from cash on hand.

Westlake has declared its the 33rd successive quarterly dividend since completing its initial public offering in August 2004.

Westlake Chemical Corporation (NYSE:WLK) opened at $74.02 with 66.70 million outstanding shares and touch its highest price of $75.04 of the day and then traded at $73.98 by scoring +2.20% at time 10:54AM EST, as in the current session stocks gain volume of 169,770.00 shares which is lower than its average volume.
