Verizon Communication Inc. (NASDAQ:VZ) Increases Data Offering For The Unlimited Plus Plan Customers

Verizon Communication Inc. (NASDAQ:VZ) has expanded the connected device plans with the Unlimited Plus plan, which will support the changing consumer needs requiring more reliable coverage and backup access while at home.

Verizon customers to get more data with the new Unlimited Plus plan

The Unlimited Plus plan offers consumers double the 4G LTE premium data for tablets, laptops, and jetpacks. It also includes access to the ultra-fast 5G Ultra Wideband spend when using 5G Ultra Wideband devices. Most importantly, doers and creators can add their current wireless plan for only $30 per month. On the other hand, current users can upgrade their unlimited connected device plan for an additional $10 per month.

Verizon is offering 30GB of premium 4G LTE data in the new Unlimited Plus plan, increasing from the 15 GB that standard unlimited plan users usually get. Therefore, power users will be able to increase their video streaming ability, send files, and browse faster. Instead of fighting for WiFi, this extra data will help manage increased needs for remote working and learning with a personal and secure connection. The carrier also said that the connected devices plans will equally include access to the upcoming 5G network.

Verizon helping customers work from home with the new plan

Angie Klein, the company’s SVP Consumer Segment Marketing, stated that customers are demanding more flexibility in how and where they work. As a result, the company is giving them fast and reliable internet they require in the go and at home. Klein explained that for the customers that will not be lucky to be eligible for the Fios Internet or 5G Home internet for remote working, they can use the Unlimited Plus plan, which offers a faster backup alternative when neighborhood service isn’t great.

Besides the Unlimited Plus plan, the company has also introduced simplified plans for connected smartwatch plans. As indicated early in the week, the company is offering all connected smartwatch plans at $10 per month, regardless of using a standalone plan or NumberShare plan to connect the watch to various devices.
