Unisys App Enables Users To Provision IT Services On Azure Through ServiceNow Platform

Unisys Corporation (NYSE:UIS) has announced that it would release an application that will enable automatic provisioning of IT resources on Azure if they are users of ServiceNow. The capability is provided by very few in the market. Logistics management and facilities management application for the ServiceNow platform were also announced by Unisys.

Together, the three services are the latest components for the ServiceNow platform by Unisys Edge Service Management. Edge gives a personalized and on-demand support to the clients. Unisys will add more applications to the Edge.

The provisioning application for Azure allows the user to provision and decommission virtual machines, storage, and other IT resources. The automation capability significantly reduces manual input and allows for streamlined delivery of digital data and reduces costs.

Paul Gleeson, the global VPof Edge Services, stated that Azure and ServiceNow are among the most powerful platforms for delivery of cloud-based services. He further added that by complementing the two techs with Unisys a better service can be given to clients at an affordable cost.

The Unisys logistics management application automates the whole product to shipment lifecycle. The automation reduces human effort and ensures faster service to customers. The service also allows for automated orchestration and co-ordination of response to events. The application has certain protocols which not only identifies the people responsible for a task but also evaluates the performance of those people.

The Unisys application users also get access to ServiceNow’s offerings, which include planning, implementation, and optimizing management. The service management of Unisys were recognized in the 2014 Forrester Research Inc’s Wave Report.

Unisys helps clients realize the full potential of their investment in ServiceNow while providing a wide framework for the delivery of services necessary for the operation of a digital business.

Unisys Corporation (NYSE:UIS) will showcase the application at the Knowledge15 conference in Las Vegas from April 19 to 24.
