Boston, MA 02/21/2014 (wallstreetpr) – Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR) renamed the ‘Twitter Ads API’ to ‘The Twitter Marketing Platform Program’ on its first anniversary on Feb 20, 2014.
On Feb 20 last year, Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR) had introduced the Twitter Ads API which aimed at creating a diverse ecosystem of members that could provide marketers a platform to achieve greater ROI through advertisements on the company’s social networking website. It allowed the advertisers to run their promotions through API partners which included Adobe Systems Incorporated (NASDAQ:ADBE) and salesforce.com inc. (NYSE:CRM). On Feb 20, 2014, as it completes one year, the Twitter team has given it a new name as also a new website.
Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR) wrote in the company’s blog that it has expanded the network of partners further than advertising and that it was time to introduce a new name for the entire suite of partners. The new program includes the social media’s Ads API partners and additionally those that are engaged in measurement and targeting.
The blog also appreciates the companies in its new Marketing Platform Program for helping their clients that, with their assistance, have reached high success levels. The companies have improved their clients’ direct response, live initiative and branding across multiple verticals, as stated in the blog. In the blog, Twitter has also highlighted partners such as SocialCode and Kinetic Social. The blog quoted SocialCode which said that it ran a Promoted Tweet campaign for ‘a national network sitcom’ and surged up the tweets by almost 60%.
Similar rival ad strategy
The Marketing Platform Program is a part of the company’s broader Certified Partner Program, which was formed in 2012. This kind of partner ecosystem which is also a large part of rival Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB)’s ad strategy. The new website associated with the Program is a showcase for various partners, which is described in the blog as “The Twitter Partner Marketplace”.
