Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) Might Be Planning To Take Autonomous Driving To The Next Level Through Brainjacking And Neuralink

Elon Musk and his company Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) reportedly plan to improve self-driving features through the use of SCI-FI-sounding technology known as brainjacking and Neuralink.

Self-driving vehicle technology is still a long way from reaching desired levels although Tesla and numerous other companies have so far made a lot of progress on the technology. Mr. Musk and his electric vehicle manufacturer believe that Neuralink and brainjacking might hold the key to improving autonomous vehicle technology.

The technical terms are used to describe the use of technology to create a connection to the human brain and even tap into its cognitive abilities. Neuralink not only the name of the technology but also the name of a startup founded by Musk. The company revealed during an event held on Tuesday that it has been working closely with Neuralink scientists to develop software that will make such neural connections possible.

Neuralink can help make life easier for disabled people by making it possible for them to control devices without having to use any of their body parts just like in the movies. Such technology will perhaps make it possible for disabled people to do things they previously could not do, such as driving.

Neuralink and brainhacking might pave way for tech advancements

However, one of the potentially largest uses of such technology involves taking machine learning a notch higher by using it to improve autonomous driving. This technology mainly aims to eliminate the need for human input as far as driving is concerned. However, the limitations of currently existing technology and infrastructure make it difficult for self-driving technology to be completely effective.

It is not clear but Musk might be thinking of autonomous driving with a bit of human input through neural connections facilitated by Neuralink. This coupled with already existing technology would allow humans to make decisions on behalf of the car when they see fit, or when the need arises, then controlling the vehicle’s action through the technology.

This is just the beginning and there is also no limit to what this technology can achieve. It is an exciting and promising pursuit that is on the bleeding edge of modern technology.
