Tesla Inc has set up a data center in China, and data is generated due to doing business in the nation. The data hub will capture and store data related to production, sales, service, and charging. Personal information will be stored safely and securely in China and will not be transferred beyond the country’s border. Under exceptional circumstances like for receiving a consignment of spare parts from overseas, approval for the international transfer of data will be sanctioned.

In July 2021 the group sold 32,968 Made in China vehicles, and during the previous month, in June 2021 as many as 33,155 units were sold.
