Boston, MA 10/09/2014 (wallstreetpr) – Internet of Things solutions and platform provider Lantronix Inc (NASDAQ:LTRX) announced yesterday that it is launching a new wi-fi platform called the “xPico(R) Wi-Fi Pi Plate”. The new solution is expected to offer seamless integration between the xPico Wi-Fi device server of Lantronix Inc (NASDAQ:LTRX) and generic single board computers. The company press release noted that the newly launched Lantronix xPico Wi-Fi Pi Plate is the only solution available in the market currently, which enables seamless and transparent connection between digital devices like smartphones and tablets with Raspberry Pi. The new solution is also equipped to enable devices to connect and communicate easily with the cloud service providers in the industry. The platform allows new applications and device developers to concentrate on developing their “main applications” without having to worry about the lack of connectivity or the need to build new “wireless stack integration systems” with their applications.

Cloud-based software solutions provider Liquid Holdings Group Inc (NASDAQ:LIQD) announced on 8th October that it has rolled out its beta version of mobile application called “LiquidMobile” to choice customers. It indicated that the roll out started earlier in October. The positive news failed to enthuse the markets. The investors fled the stock resulting in 24.6 percent dip in the share price of the stock.

Network infrastructure solutions provider QLogic Corporation (NASDAQ:QLGC) announced on 8th October that it has decided to join OpenPOWER Foundation. The foundation is a new standard development forum which is attempting to provide a open platform for the development community to further enhance the “POWER microprocessor architecture.” The tech firm is only the latest in a long list of technology infrastructure providing companies which have signed up to collaborate with industry peers and competitors to develop a “advanced server, networking, storage and acceleration technology.” The group has made available its open architecture based POWER hardware and software to developers worldwide.
