Stocks In Action: Zynga Inc (NASDAQ:ZNGA), Rackspace Hosting, Inc. (NYSE:RAX), Teradata Corporation (NYSE:TDC)

Boston, MA 10/10/2014 (wallstreetpr) – Social game developer Zynga Inc (NASDAQ:ZNGA) announced on 9th October that it is launching a new upgraded version of its popular gaming title “New Words With Friends” to commemorate its fifth year anniversary. The reworked title would be available for gaming enthusiasts to download on App Store and Google Play. The gaming firm promises its fans that its developers have tried to retain the look of the game, while adding new features which were sought by players. These new features include better playing experience. The news did not seem to enthuse the investor community. The stock shed some of its market valuation to end the day’s trading at $2.4, which was 6.35 percent ower than previous day close.

Managed cloud company Rackspace Hosting, Inc. (NYSE:RAX) announced on 9th October that it has brought on board Mr. Brian Kelly as Chief Security Officer. He has been tasked with managing the information security and physical security needs of the tech firm.  He will be reporting into the company’s chief operating officer Mr. Mark Roenigk. Mr. Roenigk has been quoted to have expressed confidence that Mr. Kelly would be helping the firm proactively meet the “growing cyber security challenges” faced by its customers.

Big data analytics solutions provider Teradata Corporation (NYSE:TDC) announced today that it has decided to expand its partnership with Cloudera which has been the promoter of Apache Hadoop™. The expanded partnership spells out the broad integration road map including joint development road map between the two firms. It also envisions a common “go-to-market” strategy, which would help both the firms take on bigger competition from the likes of Oracle Corporation (NYSE:ORCL) and Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT). The integration between the two innovative tech firms would lead to a deeper Integration between their product offerings, leading to a unified support offering to their end customers, the press note released by the two firms noted.
