Boston, MA 06/13/2014 (wallstreetpr) – Game lovers will love to know that for the first time YouTube Sharing will be included in their  video gaming console while using Sony Corp (ADR) (NYSE:SNE) consoles. The functionality will be made available later in the year by the help of an app specifically designed for the same.

Sony Trying To Shun Competition

The move was announced at the E3 2014 event. Uploading of video captures will be made possible for gamers through the pressing of the share button. Sony has also confirmed that PS4 will come with an additional facility for interaction between gamers. Sony has also confirmed that the game Grand Theft Auto V will be available on the PS4 console.

Sony Corp (ADR) (NYSE:SNE) has for some time been grappling with increased competition from Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) and Samsung Electronics Co Ltd. The company is now trying to stand against one more tech giant by bringing PS4 to the market. Sony is designing the gaming console, in a way, that it will be a force to reckon with, in terms of entertainment for buyers. The company is also in the process of developing its own virtual reality headset for the gaming industry.

Creating Market For Non-Gamers

Sony Corp (ADR) (NYSE:SNE) has an additional exciting feature for non-gamers as its consoles can be fed with virtual reality ready-fare by its movie and television studios with the help from project Morpheus studios. Sony’s chief executive officer Kazuo Hirai has come up with a number of ideas for delivering an array of offerings via the web sure to challenge other giants like Apple, Samsung and now Facebook Inc. (NASDAQ:FB).

Sony Corp (ADR) (NYSE:SNE) now needs to succeed in increasing its user base if it is to give its fierce rivals a run for their money. PS4 having debuted in November has sold more than 7 million units around the world. The video gaming segments continues to be one of the most attractive segments for Sony having suffered a major downpour in the television segment.
