Live broadcasts of the event will begin on September 26, 2014 at 2:00am to September 28, 2014. The Ryder cup will be aired on XM channel 93 and Sirius channel 208 with the broadcast expected to continue throughout the weekend. Listeners will be on standby to listen and enjoy 32 hours of the happenings live from the Gleneagles Golf Club in Perthshire Scotland.
SiriusXM has confirmed that all the happenings will be broadcasted on Satellite radios as well as through Sirius XM Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ:SIRI) Internet Radio App and online at SiriusXM.com. The Ryder cup is one of the oldest tournament that brings together teams of 12 from the U.S and Europe battling it out for the bragging rights, as well as the Ryder cup credentials.
Team Europe is the defending champion having won the cup two-years ago in one of the most historic fashions. Team Europe completed a remarkable comeback during the last event gaining eight and half points of a possible twelve points having entered the final day trailing the Americans by four points. This year’s competition is expected to be even stiffer with team Europe being headed by world number one Rory McllRoy. Team USA, on the other hand, will be captained by Hall of Famer Tom Watson. Gearing up for the tournament, LPGA star Natalie Gulbis will debut his new show The Golfer girls on September 24 live from SiriusXM studios in New York.
