New Report From Adobe Systems Incorporated (NASDAQ:ADBE) Reveals Apple Dominates Digital Video Viewership

During a developer conference, Adobe Systems Incorporated (NASDAQ:ADBE) made a conclusion that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is the current market leader when it comes to digital video content usage.

Adobe’s inference also suggested that the trend will most likely continue in the unforeseen future. Apple took the crown for various content categories including subscription TV programming and internet TV for the period between 2014 and 2015. Adobe gathered the information from anonymous sources and combined data through its marketing cloud analytics. The Analysis featured over 11,000 websites that were visited more than 500 billion times.

Its iOS devices also influence Apple’s dominant position. Most of the viewership particularly the premium content registered more views on Apple devices. It accounted for both authenticated and unauthenticated content what is usually available through subscriptions and freely available content respectively.

Adobe’s research revealed that 62% of all the authenticated video content was dominated by Apple. Adobe’s Digital Index Analyst, Tamara Gaffney announced that Adobe expects Apple to take advantage of the large lead in the premium video viewership division. The software and technology company has gained this lead because of the iPhone and iPad devices which most users prefer as easy access points.

The number of people owning these devices has also grown, and this has been an important push. The demand for TV content has also grown as technology, and production quality keeps getting better. The universal TV market grew by a yearly average of 282%.

Apple devices also experienced an average 5% to 10% increase in video viewership on a quarterly basis. The company is also expected to experience more growth in the coming period. Over the Past year, Apple TV, Xbox, and Hulu experienced phenomenal growth over the past one year, with their TV demand rising from 6% to 24%. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is in the meantime trying to venture into the music streaming industry where it will compete with other streaming services through a wide music selection and radio channels.
