Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) and its technology moves

Boston, MA 02/11/2014 (wallstreetpr) – In an interview on Reddit, Bill Gates said that Satya Nadella the Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) Chief Executive Officer has categorically asked him to assume the new technology advisor position at the company and help with guiding the company’s product strategies and future business.  The chat was a wide-ranging one on the social-news website and Gates stated that he uses no tablet apart from the Surface Pro 2. He also talked at length about all his favorite Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) products and also about how this new role at the company came into existence.

The tech advisor

It had been reported last week that Gates had given up the chair at Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) and has now taken up the board technology advisor role, which is a newly-created position. Gates said that he had taken up this role specifically at the behest of the CEO, Nadella. Of course, the company has many products that are innovative and there are many more in the pipeline as well and now that Gates is on board as a tech advisor, there might be some interesting changes that take place in that area.

The tweaks

This week, Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) released Xbox One’s 1st software update but the company has already outlined what the March update will include. There are numerous updates that will be released. Users will be able to get to their friends list faster. The friends list will also now be at the front and the center of the homepage in the Friends app. Whenever users click on the Home button or want to check who is online they can go via the “Xbox, go to Friends” option. Partychat will be segregated from the people who are playing that game and an option of “Invite friends to game” will be added to the multiplayer titles. Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) seems to have made quite a few changes which is bound to keep Xbox fans happy.
