Mellanox Technologies, Ltd. (NASDAQ:MLNX) Says Its CloudX Platform Supports Oracle Linux-based OpenStack

Boston, MA 09/30/2014 (wallstreetpr) – A fabless semiconductor company, Mellanox Technologies, Ltd. (NASDAQ:MLNX), disclosed that its CloudX platform is currently supported with Oracle Corporation (NYSE:ORCL)’s OpenStack for Oracle Linux apart from Oracle VM. This is expected to benefit the users preferring cloud-based modules since it can be accessible from anywhere. The company believes it provides more advantages to its users.

Improve Efficiency

The company said that the solution would improve storage and compute infrastructure efficiency thus allowing applications to process a number of data in real-time basis. This apart, it would also accelerate business analytics, as well as, decision making process, its statement revealed.

Mellanox Technologies, Ltd. (NASDAQ:MLNX) said that its CloudX was based on its OpenCloud architecture that influences off-the-shelf storage and servers along with the company’s high-efficiency interconnects while Oracle’s OpenStack for Oracle Linux program would form the cost-effective and flexible private, public and hybrid clouds.

The company’s cloud module also allows virtualization solutions coupled with lowest latency and highest bandwidth and at the same time cut down the costs. It added that it was built on the company’s 40Gbs / 56Gbs Ethernet interconnection know-how offering quick transfer of data and improved compute utilization, flash SSD and storage components.

Mellanox Technologies, Ltd. (NASDAQ:MLNX) VP for marketing, Kevin Deierling, said that as a result of support with different Oracle’s cloud software, cloud operators would be able to cut down their capital, as well as, operational costs through effective use of storage and compute resources. He added that users of CloudX would stand to gain from optimal cloud application results due to its efficiency for transaction processing, e-commerce, Big Data, storage-centric workloads, and business analytics.

The company would be showcasing its technology at Booth No.2321 at the Oracle Corporation (NYSE:ORCL) OpenWorld 2014 exhibition being held from September 28 to till October 2. It said that it was ranked as Gold level member by Oracle PartnerNetwork.
