MasterCard Inc (NYSE:MA) Introduces Mobile Ordering App Qkr For The U.S. Customers

MasterCard Inc (NYSE:MA) has officially unveiled Qkr, the mobile app that enables the U.S. Business Customers and restaurant customers to pay bills using mobile.

MasterCard Mobile Order App for the U.S. Restaurant

The company has for the first time introduced Quicker (Qkr) for New York-based Street Bird, the U.S. Restaurant, on Thursday. The new order app is just like other ordering apps in the market.

The mobile order app allows customers to search for restaurants in their location, place an order and make payment through easy to use interactive options. The app also has a facility for scanning and holding the receipts.

Customers need not call the waitstaff and place orders. Instead, Innovative features of the MasterCard Mobile app allow customers to select the cuisine right on the table. Just two taps are required to order what you want on your table. It is unlike Yelp and Seamless.

The new app allows restaurants to enable power in dine menu for the customers. The restaurant can also make refunds instantly.

However, features on this mobile app are not new. Are they? No. Businesses like Panera and Chili’s already incorporated table top digital ordering menus. Other notable players include Cover, Yelp Inc (NYSE:YELP), and GurbHub. Yelp and GrubHub already gained a dominant position in the restaurant mobile payments.

Google Wallet and Apple Pay are becoming the favorite payment options of customers to pay even for day to day purchases.

Why MasterCard Enters Late Into The Already Crowded Area?

Its main aim is to offer all in one payment system for merchants.

How MasterCard App Works?

After quick download and installation, people interact with an inbuilt application of the MasterCard that processes payments with the help of Simplify Commerce Platform. The new platform creates MasterPass account enabling customers to embed the information of the credit card into digital wallet instantly.

But to achieve success, the customers should download and start using the app and at the same time more and more restaurants should sign up for this innovative payment platform.

For Customers, it is a trusted brand. MasterCard is sure to capitalize on this trust.
