Launched in San Francisco
This week, the company launched the livedeal.com in San Francisco, The platform was launched in Los Angeles in the fourth quarter of 2013. The participating restaurants, will be able to control and curate their own customized offers on livedeal.com’s real-time “deal engine.” The customers will be transacting directly with the restaurants, eliminating LiveDeal Inc (NASDAQ:LIVE) as an intermediary in the sale. Jon Isaac, president and CEO of LiveDeal said that the launch in San Francisco was a major milestone for LiveDeal, which validates its new model. San Francisco, has the largest number of restaurants per capita in the U.S., this will help LiveDeal, grab a greater market share. He further stated that the company is getting a great response from the market.
Launch in Los Angeles
Last month, the company announced of its launch in the Los Angeles market. The livedeal.com platform was tested in Los Angeles for a couple of weeks and succeeded in signing up several participating locations as of the official launch. Jon Isaac, president and CEO of LiveDeal Inc (NASDAQ:LIVE) stated that the company received a remarkable response in San Diego, where 20% of the restaurants in the city participated. Further, he added his expectations of better than expected results in return visitors, and said that other large restaurant chains providing some exclusive deals which are not available anywhere else.
A couple of months back, a new restaurant deal site was launched in L.A. Livedeal. What differentiate LiveDeal Inc (NASDAQ:LIVE) from Groupon Inc (NASDAQ:GRPN) and various other deal sites is at LiveDeal there is no emails and nothing to buy ahead of time, instead customers need to go to the restaurant and show their digital coupon in order to avail the deal.
