JetBlue Airways Corporation (NASDAQ:JBLU) and American Airlines Group Inc (NASDAQ:AAL) want to create better customer experiences for travelers in Boston and New York. To achieve this goal, the two industry leaders unveiled their new Northeast Alliance.

Unveiling new routes

The airlines continue directing their efforts in the streamlining of schedules on major routes. Customers are now free to move ahead and make their bookings in all the routes that share the two companies’ codes.

JetBlue is pleased to unveil about 15 new routes, terming the move a part of its efforts to expand the business. Customers should look forward to a new service from New York-LGA and Newark

The first phase of the alliance looks like a strong start for the two businesses, considering introducing the 33 new routes.

Top officials speak out on recent developments

JetBlue’s head of revenue and planning, Scott Laurence, sees the new business alliance as a step in the right direction. According to him, this is an alliance that opens new opportunities for their company. Laurence discloses that it has always been their goal to penetrate new markets and make gains.

JetBlue means well for customers, according to the official. He believes that the company’s award-winning service delivery is something that everyone will appreciate. The official also understands that customers want to enjoy more choices, promising that they will not leave any stones unturned in offering the customers the best.

The company’s flexibility is something that Laurence appreciates. He talks about the low fares they will be charging as something entirely good for all the customers. The outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic was rather frustrating for most airlines. Restrictions took the center-stage, and making profits became quite difficult.

Most airlines continue making efforts to swing back to the normal mode, but it is a painful and difficult journey. JetBlue is pleased because the opportunity will see it get its planes back in the air and earn more profits. Laurence says the latest developments will also be quite favorable to the crew members because they will get another opportunity to work.

American’s Chief Revenue Officer Vasu Raja believes that the business collaboration will see the two companies succeed in their quest to offer customers the best proposition.
