Boston, MA 10/09/2013 (wallstreetpr) – Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) has recently announced that the company is planning to build new housing compound of about 394 units, which is of worth $120 million. This housing compound will be near to its offices in Menlo Park, Calif., and sweet facilities will decorate it, where the facilities also include doggy day-care. It was reported that one of the objectives of the company is to provide great facilities to its employees, as much as possible.
Residential real estate developer of Northern California, Facebook and St. Anton Partners are building the housing complex. This complex will also include a woodworking classes, laundry and dry cleaning facilities, and sports bar, hairstylists and bike workshop, but facility of child day care is missing. But still, Facebook is not providing any special benefits for the parents of working class like four months parental leave or a subsidy for childcare costs.
Missing this point is odd as this social networking site claims itself to be a leader for women in the field of technology. It might also be the reason that almost all the employees of Facebook are young enough, that the benefits offered by the company are quite optimum. It may also happen that in the year 2015, the company plans to add child day care in its list of benefits for the official residential campus. In 2012, according to the Bureau of Labour Statistics, the contribution of married couple was 59% and benefits that they received from their boss were not very satisfactory.
The company is trying to retain female workers and it considers it as its duty to fulfil social and personal needs of its workers, as well as their professional ones. There are also chances that in its next plans, the company will add human children facility. This can be advantageous because it can help employees to work better and more efficiently, and also it can avoid financial devastation.
