Datadog Inc (NASDAQ:DDOG) To Offer Support For Amazon Elastic File System (Amazon EFS) For AWS Lambda on Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Datadog Inc (NASDAQ:DDOG) announced support for Amazon Elastic File System (Amazon EFS) for AWS Lambda on Amazon Web Services (AWS). The integration will offer a single-click correlation between AWS Lambda and the underlying Elastic File System. The integration will allow developers to efficiently use components outside servers to power their businesses and also troubleshoot any potential issues.

“Datadog is committed to delivering an end-to-end monitoring solution for environments adopting to evolving serverless use cases,” said Ilan Rabinovitch, Vice President, Product & Community at Datadog. According to Rabinovitch, businesses will be able to combine their data from serverless user cases with Datadog’s serverless monitoring to accelerate the adoption of serverless workflows confidently.

Helping Reduce Operational Overhead

According to Adam Fergus, Manager, DevOps at Fiix, the integration will help reduce operational overhead hence increasing development velocity. Ajay Nair, Director of Product Management, AWS Lambda, at Amazon Web Services, Inc says customers will leverage then-new persistent file system functionality to develop new application patterns.

Monitoring Amazon EFS for AWS Lambda embedded in Datadog Serverless Monitoring will increase end-to-end visibility across the serverless infrastructure. This is done by consolidating correlated metrics, traces, and logs. Following the integration, developers will now have access to improved tagging to divide Lambda metrics by the Elastic File System.
