AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) To Showcase Its Connected Car, Home And Wearables In CTIA’s Super Mobility Week

Boston, MA 09/03/2014 (wallstreetpr) – Telecommunications services provider AT&T (NYSE:T) would participate in the CTIA’s Super Mobility Week scheduled for next week in Las Vegas. The company is planning to put on display its connected car, home and wearables during the show.

Coding For Car And Home

AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) would kick start the week’s events by launching its CTIA Hackathon with a focus on coding for home and car. It would also provide the developers’ right to use new APIs for home and car, the telecom service provider said. This would also offer developers with tools and services with options to innovate in automated home and connected car marketplace.

By using APIs and other resources of technology from over 30 industry sponsors, developers could turn their designs into apps. During the two-day Hackathon, which will commence on September 6, over 300 developers are expected to compete against each other. AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) disclosed that developers have the opportunity to grab $100K in cash and prizes.

Connected Car

AT&T would exhibit its latest innovation of connected homes, cars and wearables during the Super Mobility Week show. A demo is also planned by Audi and Volvo on their connected car experiences. This apart, a simulator would also be available on-site to display the company’s connected car platform, AT&T Drive. AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) indicated that automakers have the option of picking and choosing the kind of services and capabilities that are vital to them so as to distinguish their solutions in the marketplace through its AT&T Drive global solution.

The telecom service provider said that attendees could visit its AT&T Digital Life station, which is all-wireless automation. The digital life would provide customers with complete control of their homes from the comforts of anywhere. The company had also arranged for on-site activations so that visitors could learn the service and products.

AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) would also display the latest wearables from Jawbone, Martian, LG, and Pebble. Timex would also showcase its new smartwatches during the show.
