AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T): Launch of New Device With 4G LTE Network

Boston, MA 10/16/2014 (wallstreetpr) – AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T), ASUS and Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) together will launch the new ASUS PadFone X mini in the U.S. on October 24, 2014. The device will be available at a price of $199.99 at AT&T stores and a GoPhone plan of $40 per month. Initially, the device will available at AT&T retail stores and then, it will sell through the national retailers in November 2014.

PadFone X mini

PadFone X mini is a 4.5-inch 4G LTE2 smartphone that includes Intel’s Atom processor and XMM 7160 LTE modem and utilizes the chip manufacturer’s Hyper-Threading Technology. The features enabled in such a way that when docked in its companion docking station, it will provide the experience of 7-inch 4G LTE tablet.

The device will be the first smartphone in the U.S. market with unique features that support multitasking programs in a smooth and seamless manner and also well responsive to web browsing.

The battery of the device charges up to 28.3 hours when docked at its station, and it remains up to 15.8 hours in smartphone mode. It also has ASUS DynamicDisplay5 technology to resizes apps display and an exclusive interface of ASUS ZenUI and 5MP PixelMaster camera.

A new device for the Americans

AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T)’s Device Marketing and Developer Services’ Senior Vice President, Jeff Bradley considered PadFone X mini as a powerful mobile device with excellent features from Intel and ASUS and also have a reliable 4G LTE network. He also mentioned that the product is available at affordable price for customers.

ASUS excited over the association with AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) and Intel in the development of PadFone X mini and bring the product in the U.S. market, as said by Benson Lin, VP & GM, Mobile Communication, ASUS.

In addition, Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC)’s Mobile Communication Group’s VP, Hermann Eul stated that the combination of Atom processor and LTE modem provide a new dimension to the PadFone X mini. The unique feature will allow consumers to have more capable smartphone with one data plan at an affordable price.
