AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) Hopes To Witness Profit Boost After The Activation of Mobile Share Data Deals Become Active

The continuous volatile market conditions and ever falling profits have motivated AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) about good performance in the future. As per the reports, the firm thinks that the enhanced number of mobile share data deals and the future plans will help it reporting a higher profit in the coming quarters.

Road So Far:

AT&T has successfully ended the fourth quarter of 2014 on a higher note. As per the reports, it was the first carrier to have offered its services with iPhone6. With the help of this integration, the company managed to beat analysts’ expectations by a huge margin. Even though it performed well in the past, but things may not be that easy when it comes to reporting the financial results for the first quarter of 2015 as the customers search for cheaper plans and deals. It is going to declare its results on Wednesday.

The global trends represent that the quarter ended on December 31 remains a slower period for most of the mobile carriers across the globe as the customers buy new mobiles starting from October to December. According to a report published by Goldman Sachs, AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) was able to generate over 423,000 wireless subscribers in the most recent quarter.

Even though it’s an ideal situation for any company, but reports claim that most of the customers that it added during the first quarter of 2015 bought tablets instead of smartphones. The situation is similar to the one that was recently faced by another leading carrier Verizon Communications in the first quarter. Verizon made public its earnings results on Tuesday, which stated that it had added 820,000 4G tablets v/s 621,000 4G smartphones in the first quarter.

The company that has reported the best results in the previous quarter so far is T-Mobiles adding 930,000 wireless customers. It has used various strategies to attract customers and plan to do the same in the future as well.
