Boston, MA 10/10/2014 (wallstreetpr) – AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) associated with BSG Wireless, and Accuris Networks to bring the new AT&T Wi-Fi Hub. The companies announced a joint agreement in the recent Wi-Fi Global Congress of the Wireless Broadband Alliance (WBA) at San Francisco.
AT&T Wi-Fi Hub
The hub designed to use the Accuris Networks’ AccuROAM platform that enables the Wi-Fi services in both GSM and CDMA networks. The solution automatically connects to the Wi-Fi hotspots during international roaming and provides a secure authentication framework without the credential of customers.
The hub supports the specification of Wireless Roaming Intermediary eXchange (WRIX) of the WBA and also Hotspot 2.0. At the same time, it will utilize the BSG Wireless’ infrastructure capabilities such as advanced reporting, data clearing and financial settlement services among the operators.
AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) spent their effort to design the hub for the growing issues with many operators while availing services like automated roaming facilities, as said by Jeff Brown, CEO of Accuris Networks. The Wi-Fi Hub will act as an operator hub that will benefit both the operators, as well as customers, while offering a secure and simple Wi-Fi roaming facility.
BSG Wireless’ CEO Atul Devani said that the expansion of an existing relationship with the global telecommunication operators like AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) will facilitate the Wi-Fi services and help the operators to meets their customers’ need.
AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T)’s Wi-Fi Hub designs to address the issues of wireless operators and help them in providing Wi-Fi roaming services to their customers.
AT&T Mobility’s VP, Partnerships & Alliances, JR Wilson said that the association will help to launch the process quickly and deliver the secure and seamless wireless services to the end users.
The company expects to launch the service by the end of 2014. Customers need to download an app from their respective Wi-Fi providers to access the new roaming facility.
