Boston, MA 10/15/2014 (wallstreetpr) – Three companies, AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T), ASUS and Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC), have joined hands to bring PadFone X mini to America on October 24. It would be available exclusively on the nation’s reliable 4G LTE network without any annual contract.
AT&T said that PadFone X mini has been priced at $199 in the United States. It would be available at selected retailers in the current month and in all the retail stores of AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) that offered GoPhone on October 24, ASUS statement revealed. The product would be made available in all the national retailers by November end. The idea is to take advantage of Cyber weekend sales in November and holiday sales in December.
AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) indicated that when docked the 4.5-inch 4G LTE smartphone transformed into providing a 7-inch tablet-like experience as it was powered by Intel’s Atom processor and XMM 7160 LTE modem. AT&T said that PadFone X Mini would be available under its branded prepaid service. It said that monthly plans start at $40 for 500 MB of data apart from talk time of 500 minutes.
ASUS indicated that it was a powerful gadget. It will have automatic charging of a maximum of 28.3 hours of battery life if the smartphone is docked into the station. On a single charge, it would last 15.8 hours in the smartphone mode. It would also have exclusive 5-megapixel camera from ASUS for high-quality photos.
AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) stated that its rezies apps for the various display sizes and ASUS ZenUI, which was an exclusive user interface for smart gadgets that would have similar features of ASUS ZenUI.
AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T)’S VP for Device Marketing and Developer Services, Jeff Bradley, said that PadFone X mini was provided at budget-friendly prices. He said that consumers would be thrilled to have a quality device like PadFone X mini that comes up with no annual contract.
Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) said that the combination and cutting edge offers PadFone X mini a strong, one-two punch for customers in America.
