Boston, MA 10/14/2014 (wallstreetpr) – Atmel Corporation (NASDAQ:ATML) said that it joined hands with IHR to help support the innovation of automotive electronics. It included Local Interconnect Network systems. Both the companies are expected to influence each other’s tools for fresh innovation.
Atmel Corporation (NASDAQ:ATML) stated that the alliance leverages IHR’s configuration tools of LIN with its embedded solutions to enhance application integration and time-to-market with the objective of minimizing licensing costs, its statement indicated.
Atmel said that its alliance would also allow manufacturers with LIN-compatible evaluation environment for added streamline development thus bringing the top of automotive engineering quicker to market.
Atmel Corporation (NASDAQ:ATML) said that most of its technologies supported by IHR’s solutions. It included tinyAVR, themegaAVR and XMega AVR families. It also indicated that LIN drivers were available for download from the website of IHR for a free demo version. This would allow the users to evaluate the product. Its LIN portfolio of product included system basis chips that integrate a transceiver and stand-alone transceivers besides application-specific devices.
Atmel Corporation (NASDAQ:ATML) said that its alliance with IHR would undoubtedly help its customers continue to create novel electronic products through a cost-effective manner. The alliance would also improve intuitive configuration and integration capabilities.
Atmel Corporation (NASDAQ:ATML)’s Automotive Applications Director, Giovanni Fontana, said that it was able to spur the all-encompassing growth of electric characteristics in cars. He attributed this to nearly three decades of experience of working with the automotive sector.
Similarly, IHR GmbH’s COO, Rudiger Kewitz, said that along with Atmel Corporation (NASDAQ:ATML) it would provide a compelling proposition for makers of next-generation embedded systems. He said that their alliance would also bring higher end applications through different models and makes to the market.
