A View Of Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) Gigantic Factory Through This High Definition Video

Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) has been busy at work building their new mega factory for battery production and storage. This is evident by a new high definition video showing the overhead progress of the factory.

The factory has been receiving a lot of attention, mainly because it carries the promise of making massive and positive changes to the energy sector in the United States and possibly beyond the borders. The plant, which is located near Nevada, will take over the large-scale production of business and home batteries for the solar power projects. It will also manufacture Tesla electric car batteries.

There are a few things that the video reveals. Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) has been moving the project forward at a speedy pace. A whole section has already been put up though it is still going through more construction. A deeper look at the structure revealed what seem to be solar panels on the sides. Perhaps an integration of their promise for the factory to run on renewable energy.

It is also evident that the company is involving a speedy process to try and keep up with their projections. The initial plan was to get into operational status by 2017. The construction is moving so fast that they might even start production in 2016.

Despite what has been revealed by the video, a tweet from Tesla’s CEO, Elon Musk revealed that the current construction as revealed by the video is just the pilot plant. He stated that the firm was not near completion. The pilot plant is where the product will be tested. This makes sense as the firm would want to test their first products before they finish building the rest of the plant.

It is not easy to determine the scale of the factory. According to Musk’s tweet, the constructed part seen in the video is just a quarter of the whole plant. Regardless, the first part has taken such a short duration to set up. It the company keeps up the pace, the $5 billion project might be completed earlier than anticipated.
