Verizon Communication Inc. (NYSE: VZ) Enters Partnership To Start Bundling Xbox Series S and Series X in All Access Program

    Date:

Verizon Communication Inc. (NYSE: VZ)  has been stocking the Playstation 5 on its online marketplace, and it has announced a collaboration with Microsoft that will see the carrier offer both Xbox Series S and Series X through the monthly All Access financing program.

To complement the somewhat odd idea of purchasing an Xbox subscription through your phone carrier, Verizon is giving promotions like 50% off an Xbox Elite 2 gamepad beginning on July 28.

Verizon’s 5G home and Fio are ideal for multiplayer gaming

Nothing about this is odd to Verizon. The company claims that its home internet services, 5G Home and Fios, are the ideal choice for multiplayer playing if you will be doing most of your gaming from the living room sofa. Additionally, Verizon is glad to sell its 5G mobile internet plans and tout the lower latency and quicker speeds they offer for customers who want to use Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and catch the activity on the phone or tablet. In addition, Verizon offers a range of gamepads and accessories.

Although teaming up with Microsoft is a smart move, Verizon’s media release further stated that the announcement builds on Verizon’s pledge of 5G innovation and growth across various platforms, including mobility, country-wide internet service, and the most well-liked consumer offerings. It is unclear how enrolling people in a financing program will affect the development of 5G.

Regular payments for Xbox All Access to begin at $24.99

Xbox All Access is available from many different shops, and like most of them, Verizon uses Affirm to manage regular payments, which begin at $24.99 per month for two years. After making their Xbox All Access purchase, approved clients will get a welcome email from Affirm. There isn’t much of a difference here, as All Access is linked with one’s Verizon monthly subscription. This might be a good thing if carriers continue to find ways to raise those as it is. On July 28, Xbox Series X/S consoles will be offered online as well as at “certain” Verizon retail locations.
