$300 Million For Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) To Maintain AFW Support; The GM, Linnie Haynesworth, Remarked

    Boston, MA 08/14/2014 (wallstreetpr) – Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC), the U.S. based provider of aerospace-related products and services, have been awarded with an indefinite quantity contract of $300 million. The amount has been awarded in order to continue serving the U.S. Air Force Weather (AFW) deliver space and terrestrial environmental information, products as well as services to the military users, globally.

    The dependence on AFW information forecast:

    The Army, Air Force, Special Operation Forces and others depend on the AFW environmental information and forecast, for planning various missions, as well as combat operations. It has an enormous importance on airfield, flights and ground military operations.

    SEMS contract:

    Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) will carry on the enterprise-level systems management, engineering and sustainment services under SEMS-III (System Engineering, Management and Sustainment) contract. Also, the U.S. company will maintain scientific projects, logistics analysis and management, transition of new capability to operations as well as testing & field support. Needless to say, since 2002 Northrop Grumman is known as a principal contractor for SEMS.
